@Road Unveils Technology Demo Van at CTIA
FREMONT, CA – March 14, 2005 – @Road, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARDI), a global provider of mobile resource management (MRM) solutions, today unveiled the @Road Technology Demo Van at CTIA Wireless 2005 booth #5619. The @Road Technology Demo Van incorporates state-of-the-art location-based technologies with a “rolling Wi-Fi hotspot” and the power of @Road MRM solutions. This combination demonstrates how @Road solutions can help businesses gain visibility into field force productivity, reduce service delivery costs and increase revenue.

iDT™ Two-way Messaging Terminal

@Road Vehicle Diagnostics (J1708/OBDII)
- Collects information, such as engine performance and driver behavior, from a vehicle’s Electronic Control Module (ECM).
- Monitors and reports vehicle diagnostics, service, speed, critical engine fault codes, starts, stops and more.
- Includes in-vehicle connector, data translator and serial connection to the @Road iWM.
- Delivers wireless communication when service delivery vehicles move out of cellular network coverage area.
- Operates on the MSV MSAT-1 Network.
- Switches between cellular networks and satellite based on network availability.
Proximity Card Reader
- Uses RFID technology.
- Records the field service technician name or identification with time-stamp or other data sent to back-office applications and reports.
- Provides the ability to pull activity reports by field service worker.
