@Road Subsidiary Vidus Announces Major Customer Win In Europe

TDC, Denmark’s leading telecommunications provider, to implement Vidus taskforce 7 for optimizing the service delivery of about 1900 field service engineers

IPSWICH, UK and FREMONT Calif. (December 13, 2005) –VidusTM Limited, an @Road®, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARDI) company and leading global provider of intelligent Field Service Management solutions, today announced that it has entered into a licensing agreement with TDC, a leading provider of communications solutions in Denmark and second-largest telecommunications provider on the Swiss market. Under the terms of the agreement, TDC received a grant license to use Vidus’ taskforceTM 7 Field Service Management solution to optimize service delivery of approximately 1900 field engineers in Denmark.

"Effective field service delivery is a multifaceted process that should ultimately boil down to making the end-user happy — especially in today's competitive telco business climate," said Krish Panu, @Road CEO, parent company of Vidus. "As customer quality of experience becomes an important competitive differentiator, many telco providers are looking for ways to distinguish themselves in the marketplace and maintain their competitive edge. That's where taskforce comes in. We look forward to working with TDC and helping it maintain its leadership position in telco customer satisfaction while being able to increase the productivity of its field engineers with taskforce.”

The Vidus taskforce Field Service Management solution is part of the @Road overall family of Mobile Resource Management solutions designed to help businesses large and small optimize the field service delivery process by automating the management of their mobile workers, their mobile workers' work and their mobile workers' assets.
taskforce is used by some of the world's leading telco, cable and utility service providers for its ability to automate field service delivery processes from appointing, scheduling and dispatching to routing and capacity planning. taskforce goes beyond human decision-making capabilities, coping with the complexity and changeability of today's fast-paced field service delivery environment by enabling businesses to achieve a predictable, reliable and repeatable customer experience from commitment to service fulfillment.

The underlying technology behind taskforce makes use of several forms of patented artificial-intelligence algorithms that coordinates people, skills, resources and inventory, constantly seeking to optimize the best field service delivery solution at a given time. Because taskforce is highly automated and intelligent, it can assist a single operations manager to handle a number of complex service delivery needs and requirements in an unpredictable field service environment. By providing an up-to-the minute view across the entire field service resource network, taskforce can also help meet both fixed and unplanned service commitments, synchronize call centre and field service operations, reduce service delivery costs and exceed customer service delivery expectations enabling companies to deliver improved customer quality of experience, more efficiently and less expensively.

“We are confident that Vidus’ taskforce 7 can help us meet our requirements for service delivery excellence,” said Maarten van Engeland, VP of Installations at TDC Solutions. “We conducted an extensive comparison and evaluation of a number of Field Service Management solutions and taskforce came out on top. Additionally, taskforce clearly demonstrated the capabilities we were looking for in a Field Service Management solution, which was coupled with Vidus' strong understanding of our business.”

TDC is a Danish-based provider of communications solutions with significant presence in selected markets in Northern and Central Europe. TDC is organized as five main business lines: TDC Solutions, TDC Mobile International, TDC Switzerland, TDC Cable TV and TDC Services. TDC was partly privatized in 1994 and fully privatized in 1998, and its shares are held by individual and institutional shareowners primarily in Europe and USA.
