Trimble’s GeoManager Solution to Help Windstream Enhance Customer Service and Reduce Carbon Footprint

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Feb. 2, 2009 Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) announced today that Windstream Corporation (NYSE: WIN), a phone, broadband, and digital TV provider has selected Trimble as its Mobile Resource Management (MRM) solutions provider. Windstream will begin utilizing Trimble's GeoManager™ solution in approximately 2,100 of its service vehicles to reduce its carbon footprint, improve technician efficiency and enhance customer service. Trimble's GeoManager solution allows Windstream to better manage mileage, idle time and fuel usage in an effort to reduce emissions.

GeoManager provides an on-demand, Fleet Productivity & Management (FPM) solution that integrates GPS, wireless and a standard Web browser into a mobile solution that helps manage mobile workers by allowing real-time, two-way communication. Using GeoManager, customers can map vehicles in a fleet, find the nearest vehicle to send to a job, dispatch text messages to workers, log work hours or view and print detailed reports.
