u-blox Delivers Its 2,000,000 GPS Receiver to @Road

The GPS receiver was presented during a special ceremony held at CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment 2005

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – September 28, 2005 –u-blox America, Inc. delivered its 2,000,000th GPS receiver, based on its ANTARIS® technology, to @Road®, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARDI), a global provider of Mobile Resource Management (MRM) and intelligent field service automation solutions. Nikolaos Papadopoulos, president of u-blox America, delivered the GPS receiver personally to Leo Jolicoeur, @Road chief marketing officer, during a special ceremony held yesterday during CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment 2005 in San Francisco.

@Road uses u-blox GPS receivers in their @Road iLM® (Internet Location Manager) Field Force Management solution, which obtains and transmits location information over wireless networks via the @Road location service centers to the @Road subscriber, in the form of reports and maps showing mobile resource location and other relevant remote data, on demand. In addition to Field Force Management, @Road offers a family of MRM solutions including Field Service Management and Asset Management offered in on-demand software delivery, on-premise and hybrid environments.

The u-blox 16-channel ANTARIS® GPS engine provides superior navigation performance in the most challenging metropolitan and rural areas, short acquisition times, full WAAS / EGNOS support, remarkably low power consumption and features the FixNOW™ advanced power management function. Our ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949 certified manufacturing partner ensures that u-blox modules meet the highest production standards needed for reliable and accountable applications for the fleet management and vehicle tracking industries.

"u-blox is delighted that @Road uses our GPS technology for its innovative MRM solution," said Papadopoulos. "It is only natural that the leading MRM company and the leading GPS maker should work together to offer the very best market solutions for businesses wanting to optimize mobile workforce productivity, drive down fuel and other operational costs and increase revenues."

From actual vehicle routes, starts and stops, to customizable maps showing mobile workforce or resource location relative to important landmarks, @Road Field Force Management solutions enable businesses to gain visibility into the daily activities of their mobile workers and resources, on-demand. Users can also upload customer and/or trip information into a routing engine and generate on-demand reports such as optimized routes for drive-time, fuel economy, city ordinance compliance and much more. The @Road family of advanced Field Force Management solutions includes products such as the @Road GeoManager(SM) iLM, @Road Pathway(SM) iLM and @Road Portico(SM) iLM.

Combining u-blox' ANTARIS® GPS receivers with its advanced iLM capabilities, @Road has   helped businesses benefit from MRM solutions, through  improved knowledge and visibility of their mobile workers, their mobile workers' work and their mobile workers' assets. With the newly introduced ultra-low power ANTARIS® 4 GPS chipset, @Road will be able to offer even more power- and space-efficient Field Force Management solutions, while further reducing costs thanks to ANTARIS® 4 products' higher system integration.

"For our customers, staying connected with their mobile workforce is mission-critical for maximizing their competitive advantage," Jolicoeur said. "Accurate and reliable location and vehicle information is vital to the efficient management of mobile resources. This is why our choice to use u-blox GPS receivers was a natural one."
